First I have to say anything by Erwin Raphael McManus. He is being used by God to stir my passions for Christ like no other. He is the senior Pastor at Mosaic and author of such books like The Barbarian Way, Soul Cravings and Chasing Daylight.

Anything by Henry Cloud and John Townsend, they teach Biblically sound relationship and heart healing books. Such books as Boundaries and Safe People.

Max Lucado is a visual writer who will inspire you and paint a picture of Christ and the life of a follower like you have never seen before. You can visit his store to see all the books he has written.

I have been reading Carol Kent’s book When I lay My Isaac Down. This book is powerful. In October of 1994 Carol’s only son was arrested for first degree murder. You can read a bit about this on Speak up for Hope. However, read the book it is one that will make you look inside of yourself.

I just read Wild at Heart by John Eldridge. You can visit his web site at Ransomed Heart for more information. I was really blessed in understanding more about my son, my father, my brother and my boyfriend, however the greatest gift was realizing that hurt done to me by others was not my fault. John and his wife Staci also c-wrote a book called Captivating.  This book was like a gentle breeze on a hot day.  What a blessing.
